This wonderful little pitcher 4.5 inches high is in perfect condition. It has a ground and polished pontil. A larger amberina example is shown in Truitt on page 58. This one has the wonderful reeded twisted handle with the applied prunts at the ends of the handle. Great cabinet piece for the cranberry collector. What a gem. This is one of those wonderful intaglio items with the fantastic gilding. Unlike most however this one is perfect in every way. It is 10 inches tall and 6 1/2 in diameter. Signed Val St. Lambert, Belgium Depose, sky blue cut to clear vase/covered urn. Great hunt scene replete with a Buck Deer, Pheasant, Grouse, and underbrush. The Deer and fowl have amazing detail. The Deers fur, muscles, and antlers are well done and have a lifelike appearance. There is a Buck on both sides of the piece. An inordinate amount of detail and work involved in this piece.
