A Georgian facet stem goblet dating to c1780. The bowl cut and engraved to the rim with the classic OXO motif; the base of the bowl bridge flute cut. The stem is cut with diamonds and the wide conical foot has a rough pontil. Lead glass and in perfect condition other than a minor nick to the underside of the foot rim. A rare English Georgian wine glass dating to c1760. The large flared bell bowl above a multiple spiral opaque twist stem and conical foot with rough pontil. What makes this glass rare is that even though it is a three piece glass in the conventional sense for an opaque twist; the bowl/stem join is in the solid bowl base and this brings the opaque threads up into the bowl.
