An elegant and tall Georgian balustroid wine glass dating to c1740. A large bell bowl mounted atop a long plain stem with basal knop. Finished with a conical folded foot with rough pontil. Great condition with a small piece of glass splatter to the outer bowl. Height: 6 1/2” Rim Diameter: 2 5/8” Foot Diameter: 2 3/4” A good looking and elegant glass with a usable bowl; should you care to use it.

An elegant and beautifully proportioned Georgian balustroid wine glass dating to c1740. Round funnel bowl; a plain section before the inverted baluster stem and a conical folded foot with rough pontil. Great condition and made from a substantial gauge of glass with good colour; a small mineral inclusion in the fold of the foot. Height: 5 3/4” Rim Diameter: 2 1/8” Foot Diameter: 2 3/4” A very elegant Georgian glass.

This is a scarce Georgian glass and dates to c1760. The pointed round funnel bowl is mounted atop a scarce single series multi ply corkscrew and this leads to a good and wide conical foot with rough pontil. The most common form of Georgian opaque twist is the double series type and these glasses comprise 73% of those found. A good early 19th century rummer dating to c1820-40. The bowl is hand cut with a band of shallow diamonds which is a typically Irish device. An interesting stepped design to the junction of stem and bowl. An angular knop to the stem and a conical foot with polished pontil. Lead glass. Light wear. A beautifully made and proportioned antique wine glass with a multiple spiral air twist (MSAT) stem. The cup bowl has honeycomb molding, and the stem has shoulder and medial knops. With good weight and tooling, this elegant glass stands tall at 6 1/2 inches, with a 2 9/16 inch bowl diameter and a 3 1/8 inch foot diameter. Conical foot with a rough, snapped pontil.

A beautiful pair of antique wine glasses of the light baluster form. Although these are smaller than the usual form for a Newcastle light baluster, the proportion of the pointed round funnel bowls to the stems suggests that they are, in fact, an uncommon pair of NLB's. The bowls have engraved foliate borders, each stem with a shoulder knop, a medial angular knop, and a basal true baluster knop. Gently domed folded feet with rough snapped pontils.
