This is a wonderful antique silverplated figural candlestick by Mappin Brothers of Sheffield, England, circa 1865-1890. It measures 7" wide, 7" deep and 8.75" high and weighs an estimated 2 lbs. Carries the Mappin electroplate hallmarks and patina is in very good condition. Depicted is a Greek goddess or nymph frolicking beside a tall grapevine and a leaping lamb. Base metal is likely iron or white metal.
