An early Chinese export silver 3" tall pepper or spice shaker c1780s-1820s. This shaker has high relief branches and flowers with branch arms; the work is detailed and finely executed. The threaded top fits snugly, and it is stamped with the maker's mark CS (probably Cum Shing of Canton) struck twice. This item weighs 39.7 grams and it is in excellent original condition with no dents, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than some bending on the foot rim (easily fixed). All items are ...
