Antique pair of Sabbath candlesticks. Fraget was a Polish metal smith whose firm became a subsidiary of the famous German metal company WMF (Wurttembergische Metallwaren Fabrik) circa 1900. We found two nearly identical pairs of Fraget N Placque silver-plated Sabbath candlesticks that were sold by the Lower East Side Restoration Project's collection of antique Judaica. Poland was part of Russia when these were made. The LESRP's website noted that in many parts of Russia it was forbidden for Jews... Click for details

Standing @11 1/2" high, this unusual sterling silver tulip-form four vase epergne is perfect for the table. Each removable vase is cut at the top to resemble a tulip. Sheffield, England, 1911, Walker and Hall, makers. It measures @7 1/2" wide across vases, the interiors of which are vermeille. Base is weighted. Great condition.

Large, sterling silver, Art Deco vase, having squared-off "arms" which are pierced at the very top. Black, Starr and Frost, New York, Ca. 1915. Bottom of the "arms" end in a leaf design. Stepped up square base has a design at the top. @16" high x @4 1/2" across base x @7 3/4" across arms. @38 1/2 troy oz. Excellent condition.
