Spider Mums, Cherry Blossoms and Bamboo motifs embellish each side of this sterling silver stepped jewelry casket. This would make a fine tea caddy as well, the size is just right. There are engraved locking tabs on the face and reverse of the box to keep it closed tightly when not in use. When fully opened, two legs on the back will support the upper tray. Minor loss. Measures 4 1/2" wide at front, 4" deep at side and 4 1/2" tall.

A beautiful handmade old China Trade salt in silver from early 20th century Shanghai. It features an applied Dragon, beautifully rendered in repousse work, its entire body wrapping around the body of the salt, at the center, between head & tail is a domed monogram reserve with letter -B. Good size, it measures approx. 2 inches across and the underside is hallmarked with a Chinese character mark and maker's mark KH, as pictured below. A scarce 3-1/4" x 2-1/2" single slice lemon squeezer in 900 silver c1900-20, made by Tackhing. We've seen various silver or silver plated versions over the years, but this is the first silver Chinese export silver example we've run across. It is nicely made, and is stamped TACKHING 90% SILVER MADE IN H.K..
