This gorgeous antique unusual coin silver Victorian style pill box was made in America in 1857. The peppermint box has a push button closure and an ornate engine turned design with a cartouche in the center of each side. This marvelous Imperial Russian antique 84 zlot silver sugar sifter was made by Andrey Kovalsky and assayed between 1827-1856. The octagonal spoon has a deep well with overlapping circles of pin holes and slightly flared edges. The spoon has a fiddle shaped handle with and engraved leafy scroll, surrounding a monogram. This is a fantastic piece in great condition and would make a wonderful addition to any dinner table!

This magnificent three piece condiment set was made in America circa 1860 of coin silver, by the Gorham company. The set is made of two open salt bowls and one pepper shaker. Each item has a lovely chased pattern surrounding the monogram and small cupid figures which are used as the handles. This wonderful set would make a perfect addition to any Gorham collection! This wonderful coin silver agricultural premium cup was a prize given by the Highland County (Ohio) Agricultural Society, as per the engraving in beautiful period script. County fairs were known to give prizes of silver cups to the winners of various classes in the 1850s. The cup bears the mark of Edward and David Kinsey, who worked in partnership between 1844 and 1861 in Cincinnati, Ohio. This magnificent antique set of 12 extra heavy coin silver serving spoons was made for export in China by Houchong, or Houcheong in 1840. Each spoon is beautifully chased in the scroll and scallop Kings pattern. These spoons can be found in "Chinese Export Silver 1785-1885" by H. A. Crosby Forbes et al, Fig 242 #87. Wonderful example of a distinctly American style in coin flatware. Coffin ends are said to have come into being as a mark of mourning for the death of George Washington. True or not, they first appeared in the last couple of years of the eighteenth century and were made until about 1820.
