Early coin silver spoon in the classic Fiddle & Shell pattern. The handle front terminates in a raised scallop shell and is hand engraved with an elegant fancy script full name of E. A. Wilson. It measures a full 5 3/4 inches in length and is in fine condition with very minor tip wear. Hallmarked with the -Robt. Gray - maker's mark for Robert Gray (1792-1860) of Portsmouth, New Hampshire.

Early American coin silver beaker by Newburyport, Mass. silversmith William Moulton IV. Circa 1800. This cup bears an original presentation inscription, engraved in script, with the name Heber Little. Condition is very good with no repairs. There are a couple of minor dents, the most noticeable being situated near the base of the vessel & aligning with the right hand end and below the name 'Little.' This handsome coin silver presentation cream jug bears the Gorham coin silver mark and is in fact a presentation piece. Engraved on the body is "C.B.F. From Estus Lamb July 4, 1867." In 1860, Estus Lamb, a Providence, Rhode Island gentleman, and Henry Mansfield owned a scythe factory in Forestdale, R.I. and had seven contracts for the model 1860 cavalry sabres during the Civil War. This fabulous female figural medallion coin silver soup ladle was crafted by Wood & Hughes (see incised mark) circa 1860-1870. The New York City firm of Wood & Hughes was active between 1845 and 1899 and can be traced back to William Gale, with whom Jacob Wood and Jasper W. Hughes apprenticed. Important gilt cast brass, coin silver, and cut glass platform ink well made by Jabez Gorham & Son of Providence, Rhode Island. Stamped J G & Son 109. Jabez Gorham was the founder of the Gorham Silver Company. This mark was used in 1841, when his son John joined the firm, until 1850. The inkwell features a silver full body stag atop the lid.
