Featuring a very unusual and good quality silver holy water font set with faceted and cabochon amethyst, topaz, blue colored glass/stones, depicting a well detailed religious scene. Hall marked on the reverse(see photograph). Probably Hungarian or Czechoslovakian. It appears to be hand made and believe it to be late 19th to early 20th century, and a low content of silver. This unique spoon has a very large bowl that measures almost 4" long at longest point and 3" wide at widest point. The handle has a great deal of wonderful open work including an eagle,figures, a head, and much ornate scroll work. The back also has some design work. The overall length is 11". A very fine Imperial Russian enameled silver tea strainer or sugar sifter dating from the reign of Czar Nicholas II. The bowl is worked in an ornate pattern of six shades of enamel against a stippled background. The enamel work includes red, lavender and green translucent enamels which were very difficult to fire properly. Both sides of the flattened handle are worked in a matching pattern.
