A very fine Austrian empire antique baluster form hand wrought cream jug by Benedikt Nikolaus Ranninger of Vienna. An elegant form with a half fluted body, applied strap handle and hinged lid. The thumpiece on the lid is in the form of a capital A, no doubt the family monogram. Nice size, it measures just a tad under 6 inches in height and 4 inches across handle to spout, very heavy gauge, it weighs approx. 211 grams. A fabulous German Victorian solid silver traveling wine cup or collapsible beaker. It is made in three telescoping parts and the exterior has a very handsome engined turned pattern. One side has a finely engraved monogram in a belt design reserve, the other side also has a belted reserve, engraved with the aphorism "Ein volle Zug von Traubenblut Schafft frischen, frohen Wandermuth". This 25th Anniversary 830 silver center bowl was made, possibly in Scandinavia in c1900. It is fashioned with an ornate feel with a swirled fluted design. There is a scrolling pattern around the scalloped border and and engraved swirling leaf design on each of the third fluted swirls. It is engraved in the center Happy 25th. This is a beautiful and rare set of antique solid 830 fine sterling silver candlesticks. They were most probably made in Germany circa 1890-1910 - but there is no mark - so its just a best guess. The candlesticks are done in a very ornate and figural design with a medallion pattern around the columns. The bases are done in an embossed (pushed out) raised scroll motif design.
