An unusually nice silverplated studs box, the top decorated with repousse chrysanthemums. The only clue to the box’s purpose of holding a gentleman’s shirt studs and cufflinks is the figural stud finial on the top. The bottom is marked for the Middletown Plate Co. This is a much more decorative example than most.

This is a fabulous silver metal mesh purse made by Whiting and Davis 1910-1920 with the tag inside. It measures 5 inches high by 5 inches wide at the bottom and has an 8 inch curb chain handle. It has a fancy art nouveau pierced silverplated frame. The catch is tight and it has it's perfect pale pink silk moire lining. There is some slight wear and a bit of plating loss to the frame. This English silverplated knife rest measures 3 inches long by 1 inch high and dates from the 1910-1930 period. The knife rest has an interesting shape that looks like jacks, a bath tap or the Cingular sign. I brought it back from England having bought it at an antiques market in Cheddar near Bath. This is a really attractive antique victorian silver plated knife rest I brought back from England recently. It measures 4.25 inches long and stands 1.75 inches high. It has ball ends rather like a sputnik satellite and a center bar like a turned banister. The knife rest dates to 1890-1910. Knife rests were a victorian invention to keep the table cloth clean. Silver plated bowl was made in America by Sheffield Silver, 1900-1920. It is monogrammed N at the center. It measures 10" x 10" and 1.75" tall. Marked on the bottom The Sheffield Silver Company, Made in USA (mark partly faded). It's in ok condition with scratching and surface wear including pitting/heavy wear ot the plate - especially on the outside.

A lovely Pairpoint 13" silver plate ladle with a wonderfully detailed repousse design. This is the "Garland" pattern of 1880. Ladle is large enough for either soup or punch. Maker's mark as shown.

Ladle is in fine condition with no damage, plating also. A Pairpoint silver ladle is quite rare in such good condition.
