A lovely early box, William IV or early Victorian around 1830 / 1840.
It's almost like a little Vitrine, with a beveled glass lid and a mirrored base to the interior, also a really decorative serpentine shape.
Each corner has pewter stringing leading up to the thick ivory bezel surrounding the glass. The box also retains it's four original Ivory bun feet.
Excellent condition with one little chip to the rear, can hardly be seen with the naked eye. Measures 6" x 3".

Wow, this is an amazing giant clam pair. The top clam resting on its original base. We have added feet to level the pair. Notice the aged surface of the shell. These clams were once illegal to export to the US. The East eats the clam, and the west keeps the shell.
20"H 41"L 27"D. Heavy.
