Beautifully carved wood with a rich smooth finish, this hand mirror from France, 13" long and 5" wide, is in excellent condition with some silver staining near its beveled edges. The black hook on the end is metal.

Wooden plaque, painted black, of the Baptism of Jesus Christ by Saint John the Baptist with the dove of the Holy Spirit hovering above, possibly 17th century Dutch from a larger piece of furniture, tabernacle or altar. There are 4 small holes probably for nails. Size is 7" x 7.75" Condition is good, except that the paint has worn from the face of Jesus and 2 or 3 small nicks. The light places or white marks are tricks of the camera. The panel is uniformly dark.
