Presenting this very fine, pre-1900 hand-painted on wood, Russian Icon depicting Christ the Pantocrator. It measures 13-3/4" x 17-3/4", x 3/4" deep, on heavy board. The unknown artist depicted Christ with a melancholy, but beautific expression, using subdued colors over metallic, silver leaf under-painting. Very minor paint loss, with no damage to wood. Has had an old wire cord attached, unseen, to back for hanging. No repairs or restoration. Excellent, appealing rendition!

Presenting this very fine 7"t. ancient Egyptian Ptolemaic Kah Mummy mask. Made from single piece of carved wood with gesso overlay, and decorated with polychrome colors. Beautiful expression, in really fine condition with very small areas of loss. Wood is intact. These masks were originally placed on the sarcophagus to identify and aid the deceased in the afterlife. Because of small size, this may have belonged to a child.
