Well carved figure of Khyung in Chinese style, possibly a Sino-Tibetan Buddhism objects. The figure wears an ornate garment and the material is exquisitely detailed, decorated with relief patterns carved on the shoulders, knees, chest and garment bottom.

Khyung is an old Tibetan bird-god, associated with the sun. He is represented with the head of mythical khyung bird, which corresponds with the Indian Garuda.... Click for details

A very rare double side carved walnut wood Bi Xie plaque. One side is Ba Gua and the other side is incantation. ‘Ba Gua’ (literally eight trigram). It is one of the ancient Chinese auguries. These trigrams symbols are used to represent all natural phenomena as described in the ancient Chinese text of divination, Yi Jing (the Book of Changes). Bi Xie in Chinese means to ward off evils.
