This set of four dinner napkins has a stunning pattern seeming to cross between art nouveau and art deco design. The fabric also seems to be a blend of cotton and linen. They measure 24" and have a sleek ES monogram. I think they would make quite a statement in a contemporary dining setting as well! Circa 1910

This essentially Three Patch quilt pattern is done with a wonderful use of lights and darks to create a strong diagonal, much like a Straight Furrows. I have searched for a name for this pattern and see it called both The X quisite (sic) and A Quilt of Variety. They strike me as grandiose names for such a simple pattern, however effective it is.
