It is the finest, cold, and drapey linen enhanced by Venetian drawn work and 4" of bobbin lace. This is TEXACO Happi ( workman's livery ) Coat. Made with handwoven indigo cotton in the late 1910s in Japan. It measures 79.5cm ( 31 1/3" )in length and 127cm ( 50" ) from shoulder seam to shoulder seam. In very good condition.

This most unusual runner was made by someone very creative! The buttonhole stitched cutwork of fruits is very praticed. I love the tassels and dangling grapes or cherries! Before my careful laundering process, I've come up with many ways to show off this fine work of art! I'm sure you have many ways to use and enjoy it! Beautiful, hand made saucer size lace with raised wheat ears, enhances each end of this yummy linen towel. There is a nicely padded, hand embroidered and embellished CG monogram. There are light grey marks on the far left side, which will continue to fade with laundering. I only gently soaked it once. The sides are unusual and look as if they might have been pulled hemstitching at one time. These perfect hand monogrammed T or F and P with hand embroidered and sanded stitches ,measure 27"! I'm sure you know that large sets AND large sizes are getting harder to find. They have mitered corners and hand drawn hemstitching all around. Only one has few light beige storage stains that will continue to fade with laundering. I doubt if they were hardly, if ever used. Large 19th/Early 20th Century hand embroiders Chinese silk. Edges and border are a mixture of silk and metal thread fringe and woven/embroiders fabric. The steel blue silk front is beautifully embroidered as can be seen in the images. The piece is in excellent condition and measures 33 inches long by 72 1/2 inches wide not including 6 inches of fringe on both ends.

The origin of this Diamond in a Square Quilt with embroidery is a mystery. Clearly, the pattern is reminiscent of Lancaster County Amish but it is not that. It is possible that it is English, but not a pattern one would see often. The use of the embroidered flowers and printed paisley (probably from a shawl) are unusual, regardless of where it was made.
