$3950.
Fabulous Center Medallion quilt with glazed chintz fabrics of the early 19th century probably appliqued 70 years later, circa 1900. Unwashed condition. Stunning design comprised of a variety of birds and flowers and accented by three grand peacocks. Unfortunately, we will never be certain as to why this did not get completed in the 19th century. The good news is that it was well assembled, although at a later date. Some would refer to this as a "mother - daughter" quilt. Maryland origin; measure... Click for details

$985.
Vibrant and dramatic Trip Around the World quilt framed by a zig zag border that repeats the dark and light of the quilt. Nothing subtle about this; it is totally "in your face". Unwashed condition; one small, light spot on a red block. Measures 83" x 86"; circa 1890. Pennsylvania origin - where else could a quilt like this come from?

$1400.
Fabulous rendition of a Variable Stars quilt that is much more complex than it appears initially. The Hourglass (or Bow Tie) grid is made of blocks that are actually the same as the arms of the stars. The intersections of the grid also form Variable Stars that are the opposite colors of the primary stars. A very lively, unusual combination of patterns. Excellent condition. Measures 70" x 76"; Pennsylvania origin. Circa 1880.

$1875.
What quilt pattern can be more representative of Americana than little red Schoolhouses? This example is particularly interesting because of the clever resolution of the need to have houses facing both sides of the bed. I don't believe I've seen one before in which the maker alternated the directions of the blocks in the center row. Excellent condition; professionally laundered. Measures 70" x 80". New England origin; circa 1880.

An antique treasure to add spice to today’s holiday and evening attire … Circa early 1900’s, this fabulous beaded dance purse is quite a rarity of design and construction. First, it’s nicely padded, weighty body is composed of a fine crochet knit in golden yellow thread, which alternates with both slender and broad, chevron pattern vertical bands of black glass bugle beads. Next, the bottom of the bag is embellished with a dainty and delicate loop fringe, also made of black glass bugle beads. Th... Click for details
