This is a very attractive steel beaded purse, knitted with steel beads and with a very dramatic fringe. The purse has a tassel on each side with cut steel decorative tops and the cut steel frame has an incised lines and scallops design. The chain is also cut steel with a delicate pattern. No lining.

Antique Celluloid Frame Purse Circa. 1900 American. Embroidered flowers on ivory background with beige celluloid frame. Hand carved. Attached is original mirror and change purse, matching the beige moire lining of the bag. Silvering of the mirror is somewhat worn. Otherwise, all is in excellent original condition. The purse measures 7 1/2 inches wide, 5 1/2 inches high and 3/4 inch deep, when closed. A rare and wonderful item. For the knowledgeable collector.
