Properly cleaned mission oak frame from the arts and crafts era (1900-20). Deep rich color to quarter sawn oak. Wood itself is 23 1/2 x 35 1/4" , nice simple edge to frame. Will accept an arts and crafts work of art 18x30". Does show on bottom section a brass plaque once present.

Darling, graceful, and alluring are a few words that can be used to describe this English vessel with a glass ball stopper. The regal Gorham cape that graces the decanter bears four hallmarks along the neck-initials SLD, a standing anchor, a lion facing left, and a lowercase F. According to Giorgio B., the owner of www.silvercollection.it, in regard to Gorham hallmarks, the lion facing left indicates the origin to be circa 1848 to 1868. This fabulous antique mirror crafted from carved wood features a classical sea motif depicting the Greek god Poseidon (or Roman god Neptune) at the top, with sea creatures decorating the left and right sides. It measures 44" wide, 44" high and 4" deep, and the mirrored glass measures approximately 19.5" wide and 15.5" high. We believe it is of Italian origin but the piece has no hallmarks.
