Meiji period. Riverscape decoration. Mounted as side table with bamboo-form legs. The stand is furnished from Walnut and was handmade by a cabinet maker from Maine. A rare and stunning piece, sure to get many compliments in your home.

A nice lacquered screen mirror used by Scholars in their work tables. The mirror is surrounded by the usual key fret design while the base is carved with the auspicious melon, peony and peach, representing longevity and prosperity. Size: H. 62.5cm.
