This is a very fine Yixing sanxianghu. The inside is an yixing purple clay pot; it has been covered with pewter, jade fittings have been added as the handle, the knob at the top, and the spout. The mark in the bottom appears to be the logo of a factory{ we see the characters for jiang (river) and shan (mountain). Excellent Condition. This a very nice root carving, it looks like a mountain. It was used to grace a scholar's desk. It is not as tall as some I have seen but is very well done. A stand will be made for it to sit on steadily. Very nice patina. Length: 35 cm, Width: 20 cm, Height: 48 cm.
