Pair of Victorian cast iron self watering urns on large plinths; each plinth marked "Washington Ironworks, Buffalo, NY". One urn marked Walbridge & Co. Buffalo, NY. In 4 pieces with tassa-style shallow bowl and separate watering vessel; each 32" high overall, 26" wide at rim, 22.5" square at base. Stripped, rust-proofed and repainted. Excellent condition.

Kramer refers to this as the "Queen" urn, though this piece is possibly by Walbridge & Co. Buffalo, NY. It has lavish ears ending in bird-head motifs, and shells around its basin. Ca 1860-1890 it is in 3 pieces; 36.5" high, 33" wide; base may not be original, significant repair to neck.
