Pair of large garden urns from the J L Mott Foundry NY ca 1870 in the Morning Glory pattern. The Smithsonian owns several of a variant on these it has used in the Edith Haupt Garden on the Mall. Bowl sides have highly decorative fluting ending in a protruding bottom faced with morning glory blooms, the decorative stems extending beneath. Each is 34" high, bowl diameter is 29"; base is 15" square. Stripped, rust-proofed and re-painted. In very good condition.

A very unusual and attractive garden urn in cast iron with "Egyptian revival" elements ca 1880. Basin is broad with lip decoration of alternating lotus and acanthus leaves, and is encircled by a garland of grape bunches and leaves. The column is fluted as is the base which has formalised lotus leaves in each corner. Urn is 26" wide, 23" high, 12.5" square at base. Stripped, rust-proofed and repainted; in excellent condition.

Rare set of cast iron garden urns on double plinths by the Kramer Bros. foundry. In the "Grecian" series, these "Athens Senior" urns were only manufactured for a short time, ca 1910, and are seldom seen. Clean and classic lines - ideal for interior or exterior use. Each is marked "Mfg by the Kramer Bros. FDY Co Dayton O". Each is 45" high overall, 40.5" wide, basin is 30.5" in diameter, base plinth is 9", second plinth is 21", urn is 15". Rustproofed and painted in matte black oil.

A rare set of four rare urns. Four early tassa style urns on Grecian pedestals with fantastical "cornucopia" ears - horns overflowing with fruit in an ornately interwoven design. The bowls have egg and dart rims and scalloped undersides. The urns - all one piece - sit on classic early Grecian plinths; the whole beautifully proportioned.

French urn with graciously curved scalloped underside and foliate handles set on a large plinth each side of which features the sculpted profile of 2 beautiful women (the faces are repeated on opposite sides). In terracotta it is in 3 pieces the bowl, bowl support and plinth. Wonderfully
