This old French Art Nouveau metal chandelier has its original center globe and three smaller globes of molded glass. They have a warm reddish orange color (reminiscient of American amberina glass) and intricate floral detail. Fine working order. Metalwork features a grapevine motif which is complemented by the center globe which features a harvest motif of flowers and blooming plants. This extraordinary neo-gothic bronze chandelier has just recently been rewired and is in excellent condition. Measures 34" wide, 50" high and 16.5" deep. Dates from the 19th century. It features gothic archways and tracery, trefoils, fleur-de-lis, grotesque ornamentation and neoclassical masks. All elements are original except for the ceiling plate which matches the chandelier nicely. No hallmarks have been found and the maker is unknown. This antique pendant ceiling lamp is crafted from bronze and hand-carved alabaster featuring a Bacchus grapevine motif. Measures 37" high and 18" across. Wired and ready for use.
