Lovely early 20th Century Jasperware Lamp, Unsigned, in powder blue with off-white Acanthus Leaves surrounding the shoulders. The reverse-glaze method has been used in the making of this piece; in that it began with the off-white clay, and the blue glaze was added, inside and out of the two lamp pieces, the least common of the two methods of creating Jasperware. 27" (68.58 cm) to top of finial, 5.5" (13.97 cm) base diameter. A Qianlong period Chinese porcelain covered ginger jar c1750 in the Famille Rose palette, later converted into a table lamp. This jar measures 7-5/8" high (from bottom to top of cover). It has a 1-1/2" tall slightly oversize carved wood base, and the lamp measures 19-1/2" in total, and it has a 1920s painted wood finial and harp with c1950s wiring and fittings. Unique peacock lamp features a gilt metal peacock attached to cut glass beaded fanned tail. The fanned tail of the peacock are made from cut glass in blue, green white and orange.
