This beautiful metal clock has been in the original family since the late 1800's and we are pleased to be offering it for sale for the first time ever. Made by F. Kroeber of New York, it was presented to a member of the faculty at Indiana University in 1881. This Fantastic Empire Style Rouge Royal Marble Mantle Clock, c. late 19th century is in perfect working order. Signed Michelant à Laligant Paris in the inside back. Raised on well chased bronze bracket feet. The marble face with recessed and gilt roman numerals surrounded by a band of gilt ormolu and covered by a beveled bezel with beaded border.
