This appealing circa 1850-1860 antique walking stick has a realistically carved ivory lion's head for a handle, topping a 3/8-inch silver collar, an ebony shaft and a 3-inch long metal ferrule. The lion's expressive head has glass eyes and well defined ears, muzzle and fur. The handle itself is 2 x 3 inches. Overall length of this good looking gentleman's cane is 35 inches.

This handsome Victorian ivory crook handle walking stick sports a 14K gold collar (stamped) which is engraved Salisbury, MD. The ivory handle measures 4-1/2 by 3 inches and tops a thick malacca shaft which terminates in a 3-3/8-inch long metal ferrule. The cane has an overall length of 36 inches. You can just imagine the natty gentleman who carried this stick.

This English Victorian gentleman's cane has a distinctive sterling silver crook handle that measures 3-1/2 x 3-1/2 inches, a hardwood shaft, and a metal tip. The hallmarks include the lion passant, the letters JH in a diamond cartouche, and the date letter "i." The walking stick is 37 inches overall. This stick must have cut quite a swath in its day.

This is a 19th century silver and ivory 30-1/4" riding crop or whip c1870-80. The whip itself has braided and lacquered stringing over a leather core, and the 6-1/8" handle features thick and nicely tooled sterling silver work. The silver is marked STERLING 4988 and there is a tiny 1413 etched into the ivory; this item is probably American in origin, and it is in excellent original condition with no monograms, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs; the lacquer/varnish is all-original, ... This marvelous Victorian folk art cane with a carved claw and egg recalls the ball and claw feet found on Colonial furniture. The claw and egg form the handle on a wooden shaft and the entire cane is carved from one piece of wood. The claw and egg measure 3-3/4 x 1-1/2 inches and overall length is 34 inches. A long 5-inch brass tip finishes the shaft.
