Heart shaped cut crystal ink well with polished brass flip cap. Probably dates to the early 1900's. Very heavy cut crystal. There is visible wear on the bottom, but no chips or damage. There are some imperfections in the clearity of the glass. This does not detract from the beauty and rarity of this inkwell. It is a stunning piece.
It measures approximately 3 1/2" wide and 2 1/4" tall.

Very handsome English crystal inkwell with oak base. Circa 1920. The base is 6 1/4" wide and 5 1/2" deep at its widest point and has 3 small rounded feet on the bottom. The base can hold 2 pens. The inkwell is very clear and is 1 5/8" square and just a little over that to the top of the brass plated hinged lid. This beautiful piece will make his or her desk that much more attractive.

Featuring a stunning silver note pad/tablet cover holder for desk or by telephone. Detailed European courtyard scene with musicians and onlookers. Back appears to be some sort of early plastic or bakelite which has wear indicating some age. There is no damage and it is all in excellent condition. My photos are not good. The color is actually all a nice silver color with no gold(as seen in photos which is from the lighting). It measures 7" long and 4 1/2" wide. There is a makers mark and the numbe... Click for details

If this Scribes case could talk, oh what tales it would tell. Until this century, many people couldn't read or write, but still needed contracts, deeds and other documents drawn up. For many, the travelling scribe was every bit as valued as a lawyer or solicitor. This piece has some very fine Islamic Calligraphy as well as design details consistent with Persian or Turkish metalwork. A 19th century piece, it does show some effects of being well travelled, yet well cared for. The hinge to the quil... Click for details
