Unusual form with wood grip, guard and scabbard with leather throat mount. Wood selected as it is a rare material on the desert and valued. Wire wrap to the grip base. Incised decoration to the scabbard sides matching the grip. 7 7/8” curved blade with line bordered edge and alternate panels of red pigment dots and incised sunbursts divided by stippled lines. Blade crisp with light patina only. Hilt and scabbard show darker patina and some old surface encrustation.

Mid 19th century. Wood grip and two piece scabbard deeply carved with a chain of interlocking triangles. Stepped pommel, forward expanded scabbard tip and belt lug above. 7 5/8” offset section s.e. blade shows original;l hammer finish mixed with frosty oxidation. Grip and scabbard show fine deep patina. Second half of the 19th century. Contoured black wood hilt with a n Egyptian silver coin capping the pommel. 7 5/8” d.e. blade banded expanded forte and faceted blade incised with hatched decoration. Hilt shows good patina with light encrustation. Blade is gray with light to medium pitting speckles consistent with its age.

Classic example with fine “Morocco” leather covered hilt comprising braided and solid panels in contrasting black nd maroon. Iron “skull crusher” pommel. 7 3/4” d.e. slender point blade with tool finish and incised line decoration. Maroon and tan leather scabbard with arm loop intact. Shows some scuffs toward the point but leather complete with good age character. Hilt shows good glossy patina. Blade excellent in original preservative. Would date about 1880-1900.
