Northwest Coast 19th century height 14.5cm Imbricated baskets are usually associated with the Klickitats, but other neighboring peoples also did them. Imbricated means the surface design is worked on the outside of the basket only. The unique open-work rim is also most often associated with the Klickitats(also spelled Klikitat).

American Southwest late 19th century diameter 25.5cm The block design is worked in two colors. Red and dark brown. The design is on both sides, but because of a double weave the areas that are red on the surface are brown on the underside, likewise brown on the surface is red on the underside.
