Copper Culture Indians mined in the Keweenaw Peninsula and Isle Royal. Surviving artifacts include tools, weapons and beads, however, any in private hands are quite rare. We have a small group of Copper Culture beads from the Indian Ridge Museum, Elyria Ohio, Col. Raymond Vietzen collection. Each is well over 1/4” in diameter and dates C.7000-1000 BC.
