Surmounted with standing figures having low relief features, arms flanking the bod and large oval eyes. Wearing earplugs, circular patterned tunic and a squared headdress with similar decoration. -- Condition: Both intact.

A sweet Guangala whistle figure from Ecuador, ca. 500 BC – 300 AD. This standing male is 6-1/2” high and is posed with arms to the sides. The incised designs represent clothing and ritual tattoos. In excellent condition, with good mineral deposits on the burnished slip. Great tone on the two built-in whistles.

He is depicted seated, with a textile tucked under the left arm and holding a canchero in the right hand. A typical stirrup bottle is suspended from the strap of his large shuspa.
