A fine Moche III seated figure from Peru, ca. 200 - 450 AD. It is 6-1/2" high and depicts a vendor selling funerary goods. He is holding a canchero in one hand and has a folded textile tucked under his arm. With his left hand he is supporting the strap of his shuspa. Great face with ritual tattoo. Museum deaccession.

An excellent Maya figural vessel from El Salvador, ca. 600 - 900 AD. This 7-1/4" tall jug portrays an old man or one of the Old Gods in human guise. He is wrapped in a nicely burnished orange cloak, with the thin arms molded in relief and resting on the belly. The legs are tucked to the sides and the wrinkled face displays a few jagged teeth in the open mouth. A large example with strong mineral deposits, needs some cleaning. Intact.

A choice Maya figure from Guatemala, ca. 300 – 600 AD. This standing female is 3-3/4” tall and is depicted holding her swollen belly. Nicely detailed with large ear ornaments and coif. Strong dendrites create a nice texture. Mounted on stand.

A rare Bahia whistle figure from Ecuador, ca. 500 BC – 300 AD. He is 7-1/4” tall, posed standing and is adorned with a large segmented necklace and complex ear ornaments. In excellent condition, with masterful appliqué workmanship, traces of fugitive paint and great tone on the two whistles hidden in his back.

An exceptional Jamacoaque shaman from Ecuador, ca. 300 BC – 400 AD. He is 5-1/2” high, posed standing and is depicted in a transformation ritual. He is wearing a mask, which reveals his bulging eyes and ornament-studded nose and a tail is projecting from his rear. Great paint, good mineral deposits, minor repair.
