It is rare to see a woman other than Mary holding the Christ child. Gertrude the Great a 13th century German,could however, given her great love for the Sacred Heart of Jesus. This is a rare and unusual Bowl made by the primitive "Shipibo Indians", who live deep in the tropical forest of the Amazon Jungle Region of Eastern Peru. The Shipibo are very primitive people and have had only limited contact with modern civilization. The Men are typically hunter/gathers, who even to this day practice the ancient art of "Head Hunting"

Early 20 century 3 inch tall pectoral cross pendant made of five 5 centavos coins from Ecuador. 2 front facing coins are dated:1893,1893, back facing coins: 1924, 1924, & 1 is obliterated by lumps of solder. See photos. A significant piece of early Ecuadorean and South American religious jewelry for the collector. All original pendants and 3 real coral drops.
