This is an Egyptian wood burial figure known as an ushabti. It is 7 1/2” high and dates to XIX-XX dynasty, 1320-1085BC. These were buried with a person in the expectation that they would serve the deceased in the afterlife and are sometimes known as “servant figures”. This one was purchased at Phillips in London about 30 year ago.
