A dark grey burnished pottery kandila-shaped vessel from the Trojan region of Western Anatolia. The body is mounted with four lugs and four handles which are pierced both vertically and horizontally; The double-pierced handles are an unusual feature. The Anatolian pottery kandila was the proto-type for the famous shape by the same name produced by Cycladic marble-workers.
