GORGEOUS STATUE HEAD OF ASTARTE, Isralite Goddess of Fertility. 300 - 100 BC, Discovered near Jerusalem. This rare and beautiful clay bust was formerly in The Museum of Archaeology & Biblical History in Albuquerque, New Mexico. It measures 55mm (h) x 45mm (w) and comes complete mounted on the plexiglass stand. On the stand it measures 116mm (h) x 45mm (w). Please see the enlargements for further information.

This lovely classic Herodian oil lamp is simple and elegant. This is the defining "style" of the period dominated by King Herod "The Great" and his offspring.
