A light blue glazed faience amulet in the form of the male genitalia and pubic region. The exact meaning of these amulets is unclear but they probably signified strength or virilty rather than having any sexual meaning. Parthian, c. 1st -3rd Century AD Small surface chip to lower right corner. Size: 1.7 x 1.4 cms. Ex. Astarte Gallery, Grosvenor Square, London. Acquired during the 1970's or 1980's.

From the private collection of the late Teddy Kollek, first Mayor of Unified Jerusalem. Initials T.K. painted within foot of vessel. Persian Ribbed Blackware Amphoriskos with Bull handles with small void through each handle for hanging. Slightly flaring rim and sitting on pedestal foot. Very small chip on handle but otherwise in excellent condition. Circa 600 - 300 B.C.E. 4 3/4" high.

An excellent Iron Age oil lamp from the Indus Valley, Baluchistan, ca. 600 - 300 AD. This fine miniature is 2-5/8" long, 1" high and is made from orange clay. The raised base is flat and the lamp is covered with good mineral deposits.

Long spear point, with four angles and a base nicely decorated in relief geometric design. Bronze, with encrusted green patina. Remnants of soil encrustations. Ancient Near East, Iran, Luristan, 9th to 8th century B.C. Length: 17 1/8" (43 cm). The piece is mounted on a custom metal stand. Very good condition. A rather rare shape and size. Ex. old French collection.
