This is for a pair of 19th century cloisonne wall pockets with a dragon decor. The dragons are chasing the flaming pearl. They are in a double gourd shape and have brass or bronze on the back. They are 7 1/2 inches tall and 4 3/8 inches across on the back. The quality is very good. They are in excellent condition with no damage. We guarantee these are period pieces and not reproductions. A fine quality mid seventeenth century cloisonne incense burner, circa 1650. The tripod vessel has two ropetwist handles rising from its flat rim, a blue ground with lotus scroll band and a Jingtai (Ching-T'ai) mark on its base. It has a small filled hole in the reign mark, a small 1cm loss to the enamel on one side and some very small surface chips. Measurements are 17.5cm high or 7n inches X 16cm wide or 6 1/4 inches.
