Excellent set of lacquered twelve wooden plates, circa late Qing Dynasty, in carrying frame. These would have used by a street food seller where the food would have been cooked on the spot and served to hungry customers, please note that one side of carrier hinges out make easy access to the plates. This is a very old table.Probably 300 years or perhaps older. Possibly MING. The black lacquer is original. The woods are YUMU on the base,humpback stretcher,circles,legs, bamboo edge detailing and spandrels.
