This lot of three aqua Chinese Peking glass plates each measures just under 8 1/4". The color is the vibrant aqua that the Chinese mastered so well in this art form. There are minor rubbing and tiny chips on the edges of each. Since every antique should have a story, here is the one I have created for these. A magnificent pair of late Qing Dynasty, 1880-1900, cobalt blue vases. I have seen this type and color Chinese vase referred as Peking Glass, but Lark Mason, www.igavel.com, referred to a similar pair of vases as "Chinese blue cobalt glass vases" on an episode of Antiques Roadshow.
