Wonderful highly carved soapstone of a Chinese man holding a fan. It is 12 inches tall. The dating would be between 1890 and 1920. The figure is holding beads in his hand and has a double gourd over his back. The soapstone has some red mixed in. The item is in excellent condition. There are some light cracks as would be expected from the age but no chips.
