Ding shaped censer with two Buddhist lion head handles attached with clasps. Hammered patinated copper with inlays of mixed metal depicting plum blossoms and stylized "Shou" characters. Base with mark inlaid in wire. Dimension: 18.5 cm long, 7.6 cm high, weight: 470 g. Condition: slightly worn, inside some verdigris.

Description: A solid cast bronze toad was finely rendered in a vivid way. By a crouching posture, the momentum was gathered fully by the frog which is ready for a flying bug. The bronze piece was very well depicted not only the outlook but also in the details on the surface, the toad’s skin. The irregular lumps and bumps may not be delightful but were manufactured so well as to activate the bronze frog to a real one. A beautiful Chinese silver repousse dragon bowl of deep globular form, finely chased across the full length of the dragon's body amidst flames.Marked across the bottom of the foot with a Chinese character mark and two maker's marks with the letters HC.
