DESCRIPTION: A lovely pair of round Chinese porcelain bowls, each with a turquoise colored ground and applied decoration of pink blooming water lotus with white crane. On the base of each is incised “China,” dating these to the turn of the century (approximately 1890 - 1910). In perfect, original condition, they each come with carved wood stands. DIMENSIONS: Without stands, 4” high (10.2 cm) x 5 ½” diameter (14 cm).

Definitely rare example of Qingpai bottle vase in pear-shaped/Yuhuchun form, decorated with vividly incised flower blossoms to the body and lotus petals on the neck. Covered overall with bluish green glaze, unfortunate the condition have glaze firing fault to the bottom area to be slight yellowish, a chip to rim with associated firing cracks like indicated on the pictures, otherwise it would be absolutely rare and good valuable vase. A typically exported to South-East Asia Ming dynasty b/w bowl, decorated with a white on blue of the cranes among lotus pond. Dating 16th-17th century in very good condition near to excellent, found only a tiny flake glaze to rim, no chip, no crack and free from any restoration. Diameter: 14.4cm and High: 7.7cm.
