Obvious burial earth which had be caused by incursions was adhered to the glaze-top and were yielded as cellular-like condition. The stable and harden condition verified the enduring burial age. A large Chinese scholar washer decorated with two dragons fighting over a flaming pearl, from the 19th Century. The underside is unglazed. The washer is 7.5 inch wide, 5 inch tall, and in excellent condition. The underside has a small fire flaw. The lid was made in a solid piece of hardwood with dark purple color and hairy wood grain, and carved, and tipped with a Peking glass finial.

By a firm and stable condition of the glaze which was very unusual to a Jizhou ware, the bowl was kept perfectly and preserved with all aspects of the characteristics as a genuine piece. Late Ming shallow bowl in the Kraak style, c. 1610-1625. Border I with type b molding of double-tiered scallops. The medallion features an eagle on a rock. About 8" (20cm) x 1.25" (3cm). Chatter marks and kiln grit to the reverse. A fine one-inch hairline to the rim, a barely discernible, even finer one-inch hairline in the cavetto and a shallow chip inside the foot rim but no restoration. Dating from the 2nd half of the C18th., the cup measures 3 1/2inches (8.9 cms) across and the saucer 5 1/2inches (13.9 cms) across.

The cup has a minute frit to the rim and a bruise to the footrim.The saucer has 2 faint hairlines. The condition is, otherwise, good.
