19th century Chinese ivory snuff bottle in flat spade shape carved on both sides with a roundel containing 4 Chinese characters in raised relief, with leaves above and below. Original very well carved ornate wooden stand. Very well made, old age lines, excellent patina, original ivory stopper (some losses to the rim as can be seen on the photos), ivory spoon. Height with stopper 2 7/8 inches, height with stand 3 5/8 inches.

19th century Chinese lacquer snuff bottle in flask form with inlaid lac burgaute design on each side and shoulders depicting flower arrangements. Lac Burgaute is a French term describing a lacquer technique with inlaid designs using small shapes of iridescent blue-green and purple abalone shell and silver wire. Very well made, well hollowed, ivory stopper and stained ivory spoon. Height with stopper 2 3/8 inches.
