An extremely rare and important large 19th century zitan mounted dream stone floor screen. One side of this rare marble dream stone is naturally gold coloured and scattered with silvery mineral specks. On the other side, the natural green patterns form a fascinating foggy landscape scene. I doubt if there is another extant similar marble dream stone. It was mounted in a zitan stand finely carved and reticulated with lilong and phoenix patterns. Mask representing the smiling face of He Shang, with small forehead, long ears, large, open and pierced through eyes, flat nose, large, open and pierced through mouth, wide chin. A fine pair of Chinese carved root wood figures. The first figure depicted is Shoulao, the god of longevity who stands next to a crane. The second figure is of a standing happy buddha holding a small club in one hand and and a large staff in the other. The figures are in very good condition with fine color and patina. The buddha has some very minor stress fracturing in the wood. Dimensions: Height 11", Width 7".

This is a pair of modest sized bamboo cups. They are in excellent condition. Late 19th Century. Each cup is about 5 cm diameter and 5 cm high. This is not a perfect pair, but almost so. The flower is magnolia. These design on each cup is basically the same, although there are minor differences between the two. Very nice patina.
