An etched impression of the tree of life on a carnelian stone, India ca. 500 BC. This is most likely a gemstone for a ring, made with the same method as the ancient Indian "etched" beads. This image called tree of life is also depicted on very old punch-marked silver coins and these date back to ca. 500 BC. It is a tiny little stone only 8 mm in diameter and 3 mm high.
